Agnes Williams will speak about “Human Rights and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)” at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.
Agnes is the coordinator of the Indigenous Women’s Initiatives (a project of Riverside-Salem). She has a Masters in Social Work and is a life-long resident of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, clinical advisor at Native American Community Services in Buffalo, and president of the Indigenous Women’s Network, Austin, Texas.
- On Sunday, Dec. 11, we will view a DVD, “The Economics of Happiness”.
- On Sunday, Dec. 18, we will have Christmas in the Woods: Choral Sing, Storytelling and Potluck with Nan Hoffman and Diane Evans.
All programs run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Cottage (AKA the Environmental Chapel of Riverside-Salem United Church of Christ/Disciples of Christ, 3449 West Ribver Road, Grand Island, New York. Potluck every Sunday!
Note: When the snow comes, park on the west side of the road only (side closer to the river).
