We plan our weekly programs two months at a time.

During the school year, we meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Sundays, with potluck after, at the Environmental Cottage. During July and August, we meet at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Cottage for a program and a potluck.

Directions from Buffalo:  I-190 N over S Grand Island bridge to Exit 19, Whitehaven Road.  Left/west on Whitehaven about 2.2 miles to West River Road. Right/north about 9/10 mile to 3449 West River Road, cabin in wooded area. Park along road.

During snow season, please park only on the side nearer to the river.

Sep. 29 Mike Ziolkowski, Report from Haiti: Mike will talk about his trip to Haiti working at the Angels of Christ Orphanage in Port-Au-Prince and looks forward to hearing and learning from other people’s stories if they have traveled to Haiti.

Oct. 20 “A Place at the Table” (DVD), Bread for the World Sunday

Oct. 27 Paul Leuchner, Grand Island Conservation Board member, will update us on the West River Greenway Trail project and options we might pursue to ensure that the DEC-designated state wetland behind RS that intersects our property might be protected and enhanced. Paul will also discuss how we might use conservation easements to enlist neighboring property owners in this effort, as well as how our congregation might participate in an educational effort to educate town residents on the importance of stream and wetland buffer zones.
