Sunday, Sept. 30 – conversation w/Paul Leuchner re: Greenway trail

miki sos smallWith the real possibility that the Greenway walking and biking trail on Grand Island will be extended along the West River Pkwy. in front of the Riverside-Salem property, the congregation is hosting a meeting this Sunday, September 30th, from 4 to 6 p.m. to discuss how our church and land as well as surrounding properties (including the 3.7 acre town parcel and privately-held parcels behind the town properties) might fit into the larger Greenway vision.

paul leuchnerWe have asked Paul Leucher, who has been part of the Greenway process since its inception, to share his observations of the role our congregation might play, perhaps in partnership with others, to preserve and enhance our surrounding environs and to invite greater public access, involvement, and enjoyment of this precious resource. Please join us (3449 West River Rd.) and share your ideas.

As always, potluck after program. Bring something to share.

Shoreline Clean-up will also be based at RS on Saturday morning, 9 to 11:30 a.m. or noon.
