Sunday, May 27 – all things garden (and all things property)

miki sos smallWe will focus on all things garden this Memorial Day Weekend Sunday—or, perhaps more aptly, all things property — from planning to actually working on the grounds.  Regular meeting time of 4-6 p.m.  (+ potluck), but we wouldn’t want to discourage anyone who wants to spend more time.  :-}

For 13May12 – DVD: Vanishing of the Bees

miki sos smallThis Sunday [Mother’s Day, May 13th], please join us to watch “Vanishing of the Bees,” a DVD chronicling the thoughts and feelings of beekeepers and scientists as they fight to preserve the honeybees, which have been disappearing (Colony Collapse Disorder), threatening the loss not only of honey but of the one-third of the food on our table that depends on their pollination.

From 4 to 6 p.m. at the Cottage, 3449 West River Road, Grand Island.  All welcome.  Potluck, too.

Area meeting for some, chipping the path for others

miki sos smallThe WNY Area Meeting is this Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at St. John’s UCC in Dunkirk.

We also plan to finish wood-chipping the paths that we began on Earth Day, meeting at our “usual” time from 4-6 p.m. at the Cottage (potluck following).
